Appearance:

Scale/Feather/etc Appearance: Faida's feathers are an off white colour that turns grey towards the back of her wings. She has not received her silky, fully feathered and white adult coat, so she is still quite 'fluffy' on the rest of her body.

Appearance (give at least a 5 sentence paragraph!):

Faida is a sort of 'off white' colour with azure blue eyes. She has a pink mouth and inner ear, and her beak is a pale brown in color. Her most notable appearance trait though, is her armor.

Made from an unknown substance, it mainly protects her head and somewhat protects her chest, the straps going down her back and around the back of her wings, going straight down to her stomach and looping back into her back straps at the back of the other wing. It also goes down to her tail, wrapping around it more loose then normal due to her running around in it all the time. It is very unusual and unique to her alone. Her only clue as to where it came from is the symbol on the head piece, a wing similar to her own, a solid white in colour.

Faida has white, lion like legs that are short, and don't give her as much agility as an adult griffin's legs would.

Faida is quite the character. Her curiosity and inquisitive nature is what strikes many when they first meet her. She is always asking questions, be it bold or innocent ones, and is not afraid to speak her mind. When she doesn't like something, she will voice it. She is, however, annoyingly stubborn, and quick to anger or throw a tantrum. She is extremely cheeky, another trait which surprises many creatures that meet her due to her 'pretty little face.'

When you get to know her, you will soon realise that beneath the cheek and temper, Faida is just an insecure little hatchling who just wants somebody to hold her, something she has never had. She has always wanted a family to look after her, despite her being adequate to survive on her own. She's a very lonely little thing, but finds it hard to trust.

Faida has always wanted to be royalty. She always pictured herself as a leader, or a leader's protector. She likes the idea of being the leader of a clan, a dragon clan. Sounds weird, but she has always wanted to join a tribe because of her loneliness. The reason why she has never approached one is her fear of being attacked or laughed at. As stated before, she is very insecure about herself.

History (At least a 5 sentence paragraph!):

Faida cannot really remember where she came from. She woke up one day in the middle of the woods, on the outskirts of a scorched battlefield. Frightened, she turned and dashed into the trees. Her only hint to her past is the symbol on her armour's head piece, as well as the armour itself, which she discovered she was wearing after running for what felt like hours.

Faida, after several days, started to learn to scavenge off other's kills. Eventually, she started to SEE dragons, griffins, phoenixes and even manticores and thunder birds hunting, and watched them for tactics. She picked up their hunting skills quite quickly, but does not have the speed or strength to hunt just yet.

So she lives alone, out of sight and out of mind, feeding off what she can, usually bugs or whatever dead animals she can find, and one day hopes to find herself a home.


Abilities:

Strengths:

Intelligence: Faida is EXTREMELY intelligent. She can recognise some words from some foreign languages, such as the human tongue's 'Spanish,' or 'French.' She can tell if somebody is lying or trying to be sly by their body language without realising it, and can solve puzzles and read books quite quickly for her age. Where she got those skills she doesn't remember, all she knows is that her parents must have taught her how to do those sort of things, making her believe she is of royal blood, considering those skills aren't usually taught to other hatchlings she's met. But that's just her hopeful guessing.

Weaknesses:

Strength: Faida has no physical strength. She has no chance against anything, really.

Speed: Faida's 'fast speed' of 12 MPH is nothing compared to even an older hatchling's speed on the ground.

Flightless: Faida cannot fly, her wings are not fully developed just yet.

Social Skills: Faida is quite lacking in some social skills due to not remembering that sort of thing. If she was talking to somebody, she wouldn't meet their eyes or bow to a higher ranker.

Abilities (Magic abilities):

Enhanced Perception Range: Faida finds it very hard to control this ability, it is unpredictable and can stop and start several times when she uses it. If she whispers the words, "Escuchar, mis oídos," she can hear sounds most creatures couldn't hear from several miles away. She can hear the soft taps of a rabbit's foot on the ground as it warns it's friends of danger, the groans of the trees as they move back and forth with the wind very slightly. This gives her the ability to detect danger. She can even hear a close-by heartbeat and the exact speed it's going at, be it the humming of a hummingbird's heart or the loud thumps of the heart inside a male dragon's ribcage. She can get a headache if she uses it too frequently or for too long, as the magic, once focused on her ears, now rushes back to her head when she comes back to her normal senses, and can cause her blood cells to swell with the sudden pressure, and can cause blurred vision for five minutes.


Micro Vision: Faida will be able to control this better if she's taught how to control her magic. If she whispers the words, "Ve mis ojos," she can zoom in her vision a good few metres. It's very disorientating though, and sometimes she will bump into things if she's walking around. She uses this on occasion to spot predators in the trees, or anything that interests her in better detail. Like with her hearing ability, it can give her a headache if used too long and too much, and can cause blurred vision.


Wind Manipulation: Faida is actually quite frightened of this ability. She can manipulate the wind. She hasn't tried to use this in a while, though, as the last time she tried she ended up knocking herself out, as she was unable to control the wind speed and it sped up so much she was picked up and sent flying into a bending tree. Afraid of hurting herself again or somebody else, Faida hasn't used this ability since, and doesn't know that much about it.
She DOES know that she can alter the wind speed and the direction it takes from up to ten metres away. She can create winds that can pick up a hatchling of her weight, and that can spell trouble for her when she gets older, as her powers will probably only increase.

Abilities (Physical abilities):

Faida can push around small objects like books and things, but apart from that, she has no physical strength. At all.

Faida beat her wings over and over again, pumping them up and down as she could. Sweat poured down her face from the effort and her cheeks turned pink as she tried over and over again. She couldn't even feel her body even BEGINNING to lift.

Finally, she gave up and laid down, wheezing like the exhausted bird she was. Her blue eyes fixed themselves on the sky, her wings lying limp on her right side, her legs sprawled out on her left. She had been trying for hours. Nothing. Not even a lift of two centimetres.

Can I actually fly? Faida's mind echoed her thoughts quietly. distress and sorrow entered Faida's heart, and tears filled her eyes. The frustration and possibility that she could never fly got to her, and the hatchling began to cry.
